Hollow Fiber Membrane
Water flows through the hollow fiber membrane, traps sand, dirt and particles down to 0.01 micron. Up to 99.99% of bacteria and viruses are removed. Water from backwash is suitable for your other kitchen chores like cleaning, washing and rinsing.
GAC (Granulated Activated Carbon)
Blöndal uses coconut-based granular activated carbon (GAC) in all filtration system. GAC makes for an excellent filtration media, having a high density, balanced pore structure for a more efficient absorption. The use of activated carbon results in the desired end product: clean and healthy water – void of organic contaminants and objectionable odor or taste.
